It was also very surprising to me that what I experienced as a norm for child care in Manitoba was not necessarily practiced in another province. It became my mission to start a child care centre that focused on quality and included a home like environment for all the families, children and staff. From a young age, my grandmother was my primary caregiver who taught me the beauty of the world, hands on.
